Mercy fell in love with all things natural childbirth after attending Bradley Method Childbirth classes in 1997 with a friend. After seeing her interest, the instructor encouraged Mercy to become a doula. During her first doula birth, Mercy felt called to become a midwife, as a way to offer more choices to birthing women.

Mercy attended the Association of Texas Midwives Midwifery Training Program from 2003 to 2008 while apprenticing with Gentle Beginnings Midwifery in Corpus Christi, Texas. She opened Comforts of Home Midwifery after graduating from the Association of Texas Midwives. Mercy joined up with Heather in 2022. She took a break from midwifery in 2024, but returned to Rose City for the last half of 2025.

Mercy is the mother of three grown sons and Mimi to two granddaughters. Because of Mercy’s own birth experiences, she is passionate about VBACs (Vaginal Birth After Cesearean).

When not catching babies, Mercy can be found knitting/crocheting, reading, taking her granddaughters to storytime at the library, or hanging out with her kids.

Robbin has over 40 years in all aspects of maternal child health. She has worked extensively with mothers in labor with and without medical complication. She has cared for women, who due to complication of pregnancy have been hospitalized for weeks during their pregnancy. She has assisted mother infant couplets, and mothers who have infants in the NICU with breastfeeding. Our private practice location is thriving.
